UM is an established research organisation with a wide network of research and innovation partners and a long track record of successful collaboration in HE and other research and development projects. With primary research focus on Geospatial applications of AI, it provides advances information infrastructure that includes access to high performance computing (HPC) and AI Factory facilities, data storage capacities, and analytics toolsets for data integration, orchestration and utilisation of AI.

Organisation’s role in the project

UM will lead Task 4.2, where it will develop and deploy a digital decision-support tool (DST) and dashboard for small-scale farmers to facilitate the agroecological transition in agrivoltaic systems. Leveraging foundations from the PrAEctiCe project, UM will customize this DST using real-world data from Living Labs to empower farmers in addressing climate and WEFE nexus challenges. Additionally, UM provides cross-WP expertise in co-design, digital twins, and environmental assessment to ensure the tool’s technical and socio-economic viability.
